Property areas

Rooms, spaces, features and appliances, organized under each property so anything is quick to find.

A house is not one big pile of photos. It has a kitchen, a basement, a furnace, a hardwood floor. Property areas gives each property that structure, so every photo, receipt and project lands where it belongs and can be found again.

Start with the shape of the house

When you add a property, tell PictCR how many bedrooms and bathrooms it has and whether there is a basement or an attic. The rooms and spaces are set up for you, ready to fill.

Rooms, spaces, features and appliances

Add a room, or a space such as a basement or an attic. Inside them, add features, like a reading nook, a fireplace or a built-in bookshelf, and appliances or fixtures, like the range or the water heater.

Rooms can hold spaces, features and appliances, and spaces can hold features and appliances, so the structure follows the house. Each area has a name, a description for quick reference and building out its Property Condition Report.

File everything where it belongs

Choose an area for a photo or a project, so the cabinet photos are under Kitchen and the dishwasher project is assigned to the correct area. Add a photo, a receipt or a project from an area's own page and it is filed there from the start.

Change it as the house changes

Rename an area, update its description, or delete it when the house changes. Deleting asks first, and tells you that anything inside the area goes with it.
